Jeff Rivera, General Manager of Fortaleza, has 14 years of fitness center experience and is certified through AAAI as a personal fitness trainer and USA Weightlifting as a Sports Performance Coach. Jeff enjoys teaching and educating members and amatuer athletes. He prides himself on providing the highest level of excellence to people of all fitness levels. Whether you are highschool athlete, a mother looking to rebound after having children or a senior wanting to regain strength and improve your quality of life, Jeff has years of experience and a track record of acheiving positive outcomes. Carlos Maldonado, Certified Personal Fitness Trainer at Fortaleza, is certified through AAAI. He’s been a member at Fortaleza since 2006. He believes that exercise can transform your life and your reality. Changing your view on the world and your surroundings. Carlos feels exercise can change your mood and relieve stress from everyday life and help you to clear your mind and stay focused on your goals. As a personal trainer Carlos is here to help you reach your goals and is dedicated and consistent. His motto: “Pain is temporary, quitting last forever.”
Allow me to introduce myself to you. My name is Alicia Freeman and I am a certified personal fitness trainer and kick boxing instructor. I have been involved with kick boxing and martial arts since 2000 and have lost weight through the years along with a healthy diet. What motivated me to get involved in the fitness industry was my own journey of weight loss. I once weighed 243 lbs. I would go clothes shopping, try on clothes and when I’d look in the mirror it was the worst feeling in the world. I would see beautiful clothes for women, but my body wasn’t fit to wear any of it. I then began attending weight loss and healthy lifestyle studies at the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University. I filled my brain with lots of knowledge and information. Shortly after, in November of 2006, I began my healthy lifestyle change. By the summer of 2007 I lost over 100 lbs! I know what it feels like to be overweight or obese. It’s depressing and can lead to further health problems and eating disorders. I’ve been there and this is why I love what I do. Let me help you in your journey. I can give you the tools and the knowledge to turn your life around. I’m a mother of 7 children so if I can do it so can you! Fitness is my passion and I look forward to sharing it with you.
